Was a relatively calm holiday weekend. I was so happy to get a walking break! Just finished my 2.5 miles for today, am showered, lunch is done and M is sleeping (and who knows what Dani is up too… I sometimes don’t want to look)
We switched around rooms and finally picked up M’s real bed. Her crib. It took 4 hours to set up, but once it was done and the bedding that we got at a yard sale for 10.00 (all carebears) washed, she took her first nap. She is inamored by the mobile. She loves it! This crib plays music, has a light show, vibrates, has a drawer etc, will turn into a toddler bed, a day bed, and a full size headboard. Crazy! My bed just sits there.
We bought Marissa a BUMBO when picking up her crib. This chair rocks! I was having a hard time knowing what to do with her. In the old days (aka when my 9 and 11 year old were kids) they made baby seats that you could carry around. They weren’t careseats, they didn’t make removeable carseats yet. They were easy to move around and kids enjoyed sitting in them. Then the removeable carry around carseats came into play and bingo, out went the cheap baby seats. Instead we have portable swings, bouncy and vibrating chairs etc. All of which M hates! So, when we saw Bumbo we thought what the heck, why not try it. We also go the tray.
This was me fooling around with her last night. She’s not really old enough to eat baby food, but she looks so sad when she sees us eating dinner and can’t join us. So we set her in bumbo and made her some rice cereal.
I finished my first Baby Surprise Jacket. It doesn’t fit! It seems to fit strange to. Maybe M’s proportions are not normal. I don’t know. But I’m making another, with stripes, using cotton yarn and smaller needles. We’ll see what we get.
